Take a look around millionaires’ playground mansion with breath-taking sea views on sale for £8.5m

A magnificent mansion that occupies one of the finest plots on the millionaires’ playground of Sandbanks has gone on the market for £8.5million. The luxury house is one of just 14 properties located on the ‘elite’ stretch of Britain’s most priciest coastline.

The row of harbourfront homes are worth well over £100m combined. Positioned on the end of the exclusive peninsula in Poole Harbour, Dorset. 112 Panorama Road backs right onto the water and has stunning views of the harbour entrance that multi-million pound yachts regularly sail in and out of, and looks across the water to Brownsea Island.

It has its own private jetty with a boat hoist to give the new owner immediate access to the waterway. Demand for property on Britain’s version of Miami Beach has gone through the roof since the start of the pandemic.

This is mainly due to wealthy people moving out of London and the Home Counties as they can now work remotely. There is said to be the equivalent of a three year waiting list for waterside property worth over £1m in the area.

There is a lift between the basement, ground and first floors. To the front of the house there is a two storey annexe that has a kitchen and living room and one double bedroom.

“I’m passionate about water sports and here I have had the ability to indulge my passion on a whim in one of the most beautiful locations in the whole of the UK – if not the world. We enjoy the most spectacular panorama, utter peace and privacy and direct access to the water.

“It’s the view that I’ll miss most. There really is nothing quite like it.”

The property is being jointly marketed by estate agents Tailor Made and Savills. Robert Dunford, of Tailor Made, said: “We have unprecedented demand for high-end waterside homes at the moment, principally from buyers that are international and London based.

“With the undersupply of property currently available, this is the only waterfront home in Sandbanks to come to the market and we anticipate strong interest.”

Keith Fensom, of estate agents Savills, said: “The market for property on Sandbanks remains very strong. “There is nothing else for sale on the waterfront at the moment and we have a list of prospective buyers to notify so we don’t expect this to hang around for long. This house is one of 14 exclusive properties located along the elite stretch of Sandbanks coastline at the entrance of Poole Harbour.

“It can be difficult to have privacy on Sandbanks as the properties tend to be very close to each other but this section has some of the largest plots and the houses are hidden from the main road, behind electronic gates and trees.”
