With less than 90 days to go until Christmas Day, preparations are well underway for some of the UK’s biggest winter events. One of the most popular things to do over the festive season is to head along to a Christmas market.
After all, there’s nothing quite like wrapping up in a fluffy scarf and woolly hat to mooch around fairy-lit huts brimming with charming gifts and scrumptious snacks and drinks such as hot chestnuts, homemade mince pies and mugs of steaming mulled wine.
Winchester Christmas Market is one of the most popular in the southeast and once again, organisers will be pulling out all the stops to create a magical wonderland for families to enjoy. Held in the town centre within the grounds of Winchester Cathedral, the setting could not be more beautiful.

It has been announced the enchanting festive event will return on November 17 and will run until December 21. Visitors can once again expect pretty wooden chalets inspired by traditional German Christmas Markets.
The sound of Christmas carols and the aroma of mulled wine and cinnamon will drift through the air as adults and children peruse the huts twinkling away. There will be a variety of Christmas community performances taking place within the market area to plunge guests into the Christmas spirit.
Entry to the market is free and there is car parks around the town centre within walking distance. Located just off the M3, 40 minutes from Camberley, it is easy to get to by car.
