TALK OF THE TOWN: Quick, call the midwife… ‘Camilla’ has had a baby! The Crown star Emerald Fennell is pictured pushing her newborn’s stroller in LA

She first caught the eye as Nurse Patsy in Call The Midwife before landing the plum role of Camilla Parker Bowles in the next series of The Crown.

And now I can reveal that Emerald Fennell has a baby of her own to care for, as my exclusive picture shows.

Pushing her newborn’s stroller along in Los Angeles, the British star was almost unrecognisable in her comfy trousers, trainers and big, blue-framed glasses.

Yet the look of love a new mother has for her child was unmistakable, as Emerald cooed at the new arrival.

Emerald, 34, will be back on our screens next week, playing a young Camilla in the third series of the Netflix drama. In one scene (above), she recreates the infamous moment when Camilla chatted with a young Prince Charles – played in The Crown by Josh O’Connor – at a polo match in 1975

The daughter of society jewellery designer Theo Fennell, Emerald has carved out a brilliant career since graduating from Oxford.

She previously attended Marlborough College – Kate Middleton’s former school.

Besides acting, she is also a successful children’s author and wrote the script for the second series of Killing Eve, taking over from Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Gwyneth Paltrow has promised fans attending her annual convention the ‘Goopiest day of their lives’.

Goop refers to the actress’s lifestyle website, and she’s charging guests £1,950 for the pleasure of meeting her in San Francisco next week.

So what can people expect to buy at the event? Why, such tasteful items as lemon-flavoured vegan lubricant and luna pelvic floor beads, of course!

Prince Harry has been given a proper telling off by actor Nigel Havers, who says the Prince doesn’t know how lucky he is and that ‘the Royal system’ gave his parents a much harder time.

Nigel’s father, former Attorney General Sir Michael Havers, served on a committee advising Prince Charles on his future bride back in the 1980s, so he should know.

‘That Royal system was brutal on both Charles and Diana,’ Nigel said last week. ‘Thank God William and Harry haven’t had that pressure.

When Harry and Meghan worry about unkind things said about them, there’s one simple solution – don’t read any of it!’

Stamp of approval? Sir Elton John

Mr Potty-Mouth: Elton John

Sir Elton John’s ex-manager Merck Mercuriadis tells me he sent the star a text last week to congratulate him on the release of a special stamp collection issued by Royal Mail to celebrate his musical career.

The response was rather foul. ‘Good,’ the Rocketman texted back.

‘Now you can lick my ****.’ Charming!
