The dramatic moment Royal Mail van caught fire in Long Eaton

This picture shows the dramatic moment a fire engulfed a Royal Mail van.

The fire broke out at the Post Office delivery office in Tamworth Road at 9.21am on Thursday, January 27.

The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets, according to Derbyshire Fire and Rescue.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said: “Crews from Long Eaton attended a van fire on Tamworth Road, Long Eaton.

“This fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets.”

A picture taken from the scene, just before the fire engine arrived, shows flames coming out the front of one of the Royal Mail vans.

Royal Mail has been approached for more information on the incident.
