Blackwater is a town in the north eastern part of Hampshire, however some people consider it to be part of Camberley in Surrey. Located just next door and separated only by The Meadows roundabout, the neighbourhood is home to a train station, leisure centre and two budget supermarkets – Lidl and Aldi.
The town straddles three counties, the other being Berkshire, and it is in easy reach of both the M3 and M4, as well as the A30 which runs from Basingstoke to Staines. But it’s no wonder why some people are confused as to whether Blackwater belongs in Surrey or Hampshire.
According to Royal Mail, its post office location is London Road, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey, GU17 9AA. However, Blackwater’s schools, transport, social care and planning are looked after by Hampshire County Council.
