The Royal Mail is looking for postal staff in Liverpool

Royal Mail are looking for postal workers in several locations near Liverpool.

The mail service want people to work from their Bootle and Southport delivery offices part time, five days a week.

Royal Mail said in their job advert: “From scorching summer days to the depths of winter, our postal workers play a vital role, delivering the mail.

“It’s a physically demanding job – but it’s one the nation relies on.

“You’ll be upbeat and self-motivated, happy working solo as well as part of a team.

“You’ll have a love of the outdoors and a good level of fitness.

“You’ll have excellent organisation, resilience and be flexible.”

People will be expected to sort their mail and spend between four and six hours delivering it.

Successful applicants have to have a full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points is essential, but a clean licence is preferred.

The hourly rate is £8.13 for people aged 17 or £10.46 for those over 18.

You will be paid weekly, with pay increments after six months and twelve months, subject to satisfactory performance.

Royal Mail also offer a weekly supplement of £25.66 (pro-rata) plus overtime and shift allowance if applicable for Delivery work.
