The team in charge of a popular pub have expressed ‘great sadness’ after announcing they will be departing in the spring.

The Royal Mail Cart on Pinchbeck Road, in Spalding, has informed customers on Facebook that it would be closing on Monday, March 10.

The pub, which re-opened more than two years ago, has become a hot spot for people in the area, and thanked its regulars for their continued support – stating in the social media post: “It has been a pleasure to serve you all over the last two and a half years.

“Hopefully this isn’t the end of the RMC (Royal Mail Cart) and we might just see you all again soon.”

It is thought that the pub could open again with a new team in charge.
