This framed item is one of many from the Royal Mail featuring The Who

The Who have been honored with a series of stamps by Britain’s Royal Mail “saluting 60 years of rock rebellion.” The stamps, revealed on October 3, 2024, depict a variety of covers of their iconic albums including Tommy, Who’s Next and Quadrophenia, as well as a number of framed items that feature photos of the band. One such item is a Platinum stamp set limited to an edition of just 1,964 for £199.99, a nod to the year they were formed. The entire series of over 30 items was released on Oct. 17 and are available to order worldwide here.

The Who are now the sixth group to be so honored. The Beatles were the first, in 2007. Pink Floyd were selected in 2016. In 2020, Queen were honored for their 50th anniversary. The Rolling Stones were selected in 2022 in celebration of their 60th anniversary. In 2023, Iron Maiden became the fifth band to receive an official stamp from the Royal Mail. [David Bowie was chosen, in 2017, in what would have been his 70th year.]
