The Royal Mail has given the latest dates on which you should post your Christmas cards and parcels.

Royal Mail’s recommended posting dates are as follows. Wednesday, December 18 for second class mail. Friday, December 20 for first class. Monday, December 23 for special delivery.

There will be no delivery and collection service on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. Normal service resumes on Friday, December 27, but there will be no deliveries or collections on January 1.

If you want to reach the rest of the world using the International Standard (formerly known as Airmail), post your cards by Wednesday, December 18 for Belgium, France, Ireland and Luxembourg.

The dates for all other countries have passed, as have the dates for International HM Forces Mail.

Amazon’s last order dates for Christmas are Saturday, December 21 for free delivery, Sunday, December 22 for standard delivery.

It’s Monday, December 23 for their one-day delivery. Your order will arrive on Tuesday, December 24. non-Prime members pay £4.99. It’s Tuesday, December 24 for same-day delivery and Prime Now 2-Hour delivery.

To receive your order on the same day, aim to send it before noon, although the cut-off time depends on the product and your location.
