A holidaymaker has listed a pudding from one of Thomas Cook’s last ever flights for sale on eBay – and it’s set to sell for more than £21.
Jade Ray, 31, was served the James Martin Ginger Jamacian pudding while jetting from Paphos, Cyprus, to Manchester nearly two weeks ago (16).
Mum-of-one Jade didn’t eat the pud – served exclusively on Thomas Cook flights – and put it in her fridge ready to have as a treat when she got home.
But a week after returning home, the travel group announced it had collapsed – leaving thousands of holidaymakers stranded and staff without jobs.
Jade’s boyfriend suggested she list the pudding on eBay joking the 43g pot would now be a “collector’s item”.
She listed it on Monday (23) with a 99p starting price with the description: ‘Thomas Cook Pudding. Condition is New. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class. Retrieved from one of the last flights – flight number MT1541.’
And now the price has climbed to £21 after 18 bids, ahead of the close of bids on Monday (30).
Jade, from New Wakefield, Manchester, said: “I had already eaten the chicken and tomato pasta dish on board so I wasn’t really hungry when I was given the pudding.

“I took it home with me so I could have it later in the week. I’ve never actually eaten one of those puddings before so I don’t know if it’s tasty.
“To be honest I only ordered the food as some sort of time killer. I listed it not expected anything.
“I did it for more of a laugh. After a few hours there were hundreds of views on it. I didn’t know people actually searched for this kind of thing!
“I just never thought a dessert from a plane would be such a collectors item. I’m not too sure how much it’ll go for.
“Every time I check it just keeps going up. It’s a bloody pudding!
“I’ve been keeping it in the fridge so I’ll post it in a cooler bag or something when I post it out.
“It is a funny to see people wanting it but I am shocked to see Thomas Cook go under. I used to work in a travel agents so I had a lot of dealings with them.
“It’s quite sad really. If it does make a stupid amount I’ll donate the money to the Thomas Cook Children’s Charity.”
