Today in History – August 8: How a ketchup bottle brought great train robbers to justice

On August 8, 1992, Metallica singer and guitarist James Hetfield suffered second and third-degree burns during a pyrotechnics explosion on stage at Olympic Stadium, Montreal.

Hetfield was rushed to hospital and the concert was paused.
