Tom Hayes, the Labour MP for Bournemouth East, raised concerns in Parliament on Wednesday, March 11 about disruptions affecting constituents.
He said: “As the Labour Member of Parliament for Bournemouth East, I stand by my posties here in the House of Commons and thank them for their dedication and diligence, which stands in sharp contrast to the management of the Royal Mail.

“The trial that is under way has failed, and the new approach will spectacularly fail if it is put into effect.
“When the Minister meets Ofcom later, and when he meets the Royal Mail, will he say that he will not stand for the Royal Mail becoming yet another gig economy parcel courier that exploits its employees and lets down customers?”
Mr Hayes also raised concerns about the impact on essential communications, noting that some residents have missed medical appointments due to postal delays.
He highlighted in a meeting with Blair McDougall MP that working conditions for postal workers have deteriorated.
Mr Hayes visited the Bournemouth Delivery Office in December to thank staff during the busy Christmas period.
In the same month, he criticised courier company Evri in Parliament for their missing, delayed and misdelivered packages.
