Unfortunately, the man died at the scene.

Deputy chairman of the Woodchopping Committee Graeme Hyde said support was being offered to the family. ‘As a sign of respect, a minute’s silence was held at the woodchopping arena earlier this morning,’ Mr Hyde told Adelaide Now.

‘All the flags are flying at half-mast.’

Royal Adelaide Show Society chief executive John Rothwell expressed his condolences and has said the family requested privacy in this sad time.
