Firefighters are responding to a transformer fire at the Main Post Office at 615 Sixth Ave. SE.Employees from the post office have been evacuated and are gathered in front of the building.Seventh Street has been closed off between Sixth and Seventh avenues.Alliant Energy crews are also on scene trying to fix the problem.No other information is currently available.
