Trump says Queen should strip Meghan and Harry of ALL royal titles

Donald Trump has said that the Queen should strip Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of all their royal titles.

The former US president previously claimed the actions of both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex caused pain to the monarch.

It comes after the royal couple flew from their home in the US and stopped off in England to visit the Queen before heading to The Hague in the Netherlands for the Invictus Games.

Their attendance at a reception at the games marked their first public appearance together in Europe since quitting as senior working royals more than two years ago.

In an upcoming interview, Piers Morgan asked Trump if the Queen should strip them of their titles, it was reported by The Sun.

Trump responded: ‘I would. The only thing I disagree with the Queen on probably one of the only things ever is that I think she should have said, if that’s your choice, fine.

‘But you no longer have titles, you know, and frankly, don’t come around where you’re just, because her loyalty is to the country. She said that many times. Her loyalty is to the country.

‘And I think that he has been so disrespectful to the country, and it’s a great country. Harry is whipped.’

Trump also ripped into Meghan in an interview with GB News’ Nigel Farage last year.

He said: ‘I’m not a fan of hers. I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly. I think someday he will regret it. He probably does already.

‘I think she’s been very disrespectful to the Royal Family, most importantly to the Queen, and I just… from day one I never got it.’

The cherish titles given to Harry by the Queen on his wedding day

Harry may be under pressure to relinquish his dukedom – but there is no suggestion the Queen would strip him of it.

She conferred on him the titles of Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel on his wedding day in 2018.

Were he to give those up, he would revert to HRH Prince Henry of Wales and Meghan would become HRH Princess Henry of Wales. As sixth in line to the throne, the title of Prince is his birthright, although he could choose not to use it.

When the couple decided they would no longer represent the Queen in an official capacity, they were allowed to retain their Royal titles and HRH styles, although they agreed not to use the latter.

It comes after Trump released an audio recording that seemingly refuted an edited video clip that appeared to show him storming out of a sit-down interview with Piers.

A 30-second trailer, released on Wednesday, depicted Trump abruptly ending the interview after Morgan challenged Trump’s stolen election claims and ordering the crew to ‘turn the cameras off’ as he gets up from his chair and storms off. ‘Very dishonest,’ he mutters.

But the audio recording, provided by Trump’s spokesman to NBC News, indicates that the interview ended with the two men thanking each other for a ‘great interview’ and laughing, with no sign of Trump storming off the set.

Trump communications director Taylor Budowich claims the video trailer was deceptively edited by splicing audio of Trump saying ‘turn the camera off’ over video of him standing up, to make it look as if he abruptly cut off the interview.

The British commentator Morgan recently signed a comprehensive deal with Fox News parent company News Corp – and the trailer was intended to promote an interview airing next week on News Corp outlets around the world.

The sequence depicted in the video matches Morgan’s dramatic description in a column for the New York Post, which is also owned by News Corp.

Morgan wrote that the interview ended with Trump ‘abruptly jumping to his feet, looking hateful, and barking at the shocked crew: ‘TURN THE CAMERAS OFF!”

‘Then he turned on his heel, and sloped angrily off through a side door, loudly muttering, ‘SO dishonest …’ added Morgan.

But according to NBC, the audio provided by the Trump camp shows the interview actually ending with Morgan saying: ‘That was a great interview.’

Trump then agreed, saying ‘yeah.’

‘Thank you very much. I really appreciate it,’ Morgan says.

It’s at that point in the audio that Trump is heard saying, ‘Turn the camera off.’

The interview included Trump saying that he expected the Sussexes marriage to end with either Meghan deciding she likes another man better or Harry deciding he did not like being ‘bossed around’ by the Duchess.

He told Morgan: ‘So I want to know what’s going to happen when Harry decides he’s had enough of being bossed around. Or maybe when she decides that she likes some other guy better. I want to know what’s going to happen when it ends, okay.’

When pressed on whether he though the Sussexes marriage would end by Morgan, Trump said: ‘I do. I’ve been a very good predictor, as you know. I predicted almost everything. It’ll end and it’ll end bad.

‘And I wonder if Harry’s gonna go back on his hands and knees back into the beautiful city of London and say, please. You know, I think Harry has been led down a path.’

Princess Anne is expected to replace Prince Harry as head of Royal Marines – becoming the first female to fill role

By Matt Powell for the MailOnline

The Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne, is predicted to replace her youngest nephew, Prince Harry, in a senior military role, despite approaching 71.

Princess Anne is to make military history by becoming the first woman ever to head the Royal Marines.

Prince Harry held the post for less than two years, but was stripped of the prestigious Royal Marines job after marrying Megan and moving to the USA.

The Princess Royal currently holds the honorary title of Admiral in the Royal Navy, but her new role is understood to be announced in August after officially being endorsed by the Queen.

Princess Anne is no stranger to military life, being married to a naval officer, Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence.

The Royal family has undergone significant changes in the past few years, currently Prince Charles takes a leading role in public appearances as the Queen, 96, reduces her commitments.

While both Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have had all of their honorary military titles removed from them.

According to the Daily Star Sunday, a number of new military appointments will be announced by Buckingham Palace, including Princess Anne heading the marines and potentially at least two new Army roles.

Regiments such as the marines, the Grenadier Guards, the Irish Rangers and the Yorkshire regiment have been left without an honorary head after Prince Harry and Prince Andrew were removed from their roles.

The Princess, 70, is known for undertaking a large number of public engagements and already heads ten regiments including Colonel in Chief of the King’s Royal Hussars, the Royal Scots, The Gurkhas and the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.

As Captain-General of the 350-year-old Corps, the Princess will be expected to visit young marines in training, attend ceremonial events and join the commandos in the field.

Prince William was understood to be in the running as the new Captain-General of the Royal Marines,  but royal aides limited his workload after it was revealed the Queen would be handing over to Prince Charles.

A senior Royal Marine source told the Daily Star that the Corps would be delighted if the Princess Royal becomes the next Captain-General.

He said: ‘Princess Anne has a long tradition of working with the Royal Navy and would be a perfect fit for the role.

He added: ‘Harry was only with us for a short time and we gave him his green beret, which concerned some people and then he had to stand back from public life’.
