‘TV van’ features at Sutton care home’s VE Day celebration

Many donned 1940s costumes for the event, at Sutton Hall and Lodge.

And there was a visit from an old Royal Mail van, which features in the popular Channel 5 series of All Creatures Great and Small.

The vehicle was amongst several items of period memorabilia brought along to the home by Heathcote Antiques, of Cross Hills.

Pieces also included boxing gloves, a football and hats.

A spokesperson for the home says: “The van had just been returned to Heathcote Antiques following filming for the new season of All Creatures Great and Small. It was a fantastic opportunity for residents to have their photos taken with the famous vehicle.”
