Two men charged over Amber Deakin crash death in Baildon

Two men have been charged after a woman was killed in a crash during a police pursuit last year.

Amber Deakin, 18, died when the car she was travelling in overturned on Baildon Road, near Pasture Road, Bradford, on 3 January 2023.

Jordan Spalding, 23, of Wharncliffe Crescent, and Shakeel Ahmed, 28, of Moresby Road, had been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, officers said.

Both were due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on 8 October, according to West Yorkshire Police.
