UK industrial action causes delays in post to UK – The Royal Gazette

Updated: Aug 22, 2022 07:44 PM

A wave of strike action across the UK will see postal services to Britain facing delays, the Government warned today.

The UK Royal Mail is experiencing industrial action, along with other key sectors of the British economy, like the rail service, in what is being dubbed a “summer of discontent”.

A Government spokeswoman said: “The Bermuda Post Office advised today that due to ongoing Royal Mail industrial action in the United Kingdom, mail going to the UK from Bermuda will experience delivery delays and service disruptions.

“The BPO apologised for any inconvenience caused and assures the public that it will continue to work with Royal Mail and all other postal partners to ensure the timely delivery of mail.”
