The UK’s first drone delivery service has been launched by Royal Mail on the Orkney islands off the coast of Scotland. The drones, Speedbird Aero DLV-2 model, can carry payloads of up to 6 kg. Chris Paxton, head of drone trials at Royal Mail, said it would assist the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon emissions.
