Village Post Office to reopen early in 2026

New management is coming to the branch in North Thoresby

The Post Office in North Thoresby is set to reopen early next year. Based in the same location as before in The Square, it will welcome customers again under new management in February.

The branch closed almost four years ago in January 2022 due to the resignation of the operator. A Post Office Drop & Collect service for pre-paid parcels was subsequently introduced by the company.

The new management will “add a wider range of Post Office services from February 3” with 65 hours of opening a week. People will not only be able to access postal services but do everyday banking and bill payment too.

Post Office area change manager Mary Benbow said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are delighted to be re-opening North Thorseby Post Office with the extra services than have recently been available.”

The branch’s opening hours will be 8am until 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
