A challenge involving the ‘Postman Pat’ theme song has become the latest social media craze after videos emerged of drivers blasting the music in front of postal workers.
The trend has divided opinion online with some branding the spate as ‘bullying’.
A series of videos show drivers lurking in their cars as postmen go about delivering mail in the UK.
The drivers then start playing the vintage cartoon song at full volume as they relentlessly follow the postmen on their delivery rounds.
The trend, believed to have started on Tik Tok, surged in popularity last week after an old video featuring the prank re-surfaced.
Postmen seen in the video have reacted differently to the music – with some laughing off the lyrics and others appearing to take offence at the antics.
In one video uploaded on Sunday, the postman becomes increasingly disgruntled as he continues to be stalked by the social media user.
The clip received thousands of comments – with many TikTok users condemning the joke.
One said: “Poor man tryna just do his job.”
Another one wrote: “That is classed as bullying.”
Many more think the drivers are “abusing people trying to do their job”.
But some think differently and said: “I work for Royal Mail and I find it funny. Miserable sod.”
Some postal workers are seen nonchalantly waving at the cameraman while the driver blasts load music at full volume in his vehicle.
