Visits from royal family in Oxfordshire in archive pictures

We’ve had a look back through the Oxford Mail archive to see which of the royals, from the Queen Mother Elizabeth I to the modern heir apparent, William, Duke of Cambridge, have visited the county over the years.

Oxfordshire has a number of sites of special interest for the royals, too, with RAF Benson and RAF Brize Norton frequently visited by members of the family, as well as former air force station RAF Abingdon.
