Warning after tyres slashed on dozens of cars in one night

A warning has been issued to residents after a number of vehicles had their tyres slashed in Plymouth. Police said a number of vehicles have been vandalised around Tothill Park and are urging people to park in well-lit areas.

One resident told Plymouth Live that “over 20 cars” also had their tyres slashed during an overnight spree in the Mannamead area. They said the vandals targeted vehicles on Fernleigh Road, Elm Rod, Meadfoot Terrace and College Avenue.

One of the victims was an elderly person who was parked in a disabled bay while another was parked in their private driveway. Police are urging people to make sure their CCTV home security is switched on.
