Warning as thousands of Royal Mail stamps set to be unusable

Brits have been issued a stern warning ahead of thousands of Royal Mail stands becoming unusable.

A new system is set to be brought in across the country, with a barcode system replacing the traditional stamp system.

The Royal Mail say that the barcode system is said to be safer and will allow sending letters easier. It means that many people who are using stamps only have a few months to use them or lose them.

From January 31, 2023, you won’t be able to use the current style of stamps that feature an image of The Queen ‘s head, reports Birmingham Live. Instead, only the new style stamps complete with their new barcodes will be valid, and you’ll face a surcharge trying to use anything otherwise.
