Warning over ‘horrific’ icy patch between Windermere and Ambleside

CUMBRIANS have been warned about an icy patch of road between Windermere and Ambleside which is reportedly causing cars to spin.

A message to the Cumbria Road Watch Twitter page, sent in by a member of the public, said: “There is an horrific patch of ice on the corner at the Royal Mail depot at Troutbeck [Bridge], especially on the Royal Mail side of the road, cars are spinning!”
