Weekly round-up: Five stories from the south you may have missed

The Royal Mail will have to return to sender after confused residents spotted one of its vans on the Isle of Wight in Welsh livery.

The van was sighted in the village of Brighstone, furnished with a Post Brenhinol logo, which is the Welsh name for the Royal Mail.

Ian Elcock, who took pictures of the van, wondered if one meant for Newport in Wales had turned up accidentally on the island.

But the Royal Mail told the BBC the error had been made by the signwriters contracted to add the logo to the vehicle.
