A large police presence was spotted on a residential West Lothian street after a man was allegedly assaulted.
Police and medics were called to Livingston’s Dee Drive at around 3pm on Friday, January 24, following a report of a man having been assaulted as three police vans and an ambulance lined the street.
One concerned resident noticed the heavy police presence and claimed officers were present at the scene for several hours.
A 57-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries remain ongoing. It is unknown if the victim suffered serious injuries during the alleged attack.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Friday, 24 January, 2025, police received a report of the assault of a man in the Dee Drive area of Craigshill, Livingston.
“A 57-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
