What’s happening this Australia Day

Annual Australia Day celebrations will kick off on January 26.

Here is your guide to what is happening throughout the region.

Grab your sunnies, a beer, kick your feet up and enjoy the day.

Lunch and awards ceremony

The official Australia Day lunch and awards ceremony will be held at the Braidwood Servicemens club. The event is free and will commence from 12pm.

Australia Day party with Jay Podger

Live and free Australia Day Party with Jay Podger from 7pm to 11:30pm.

Back by popular demand, Jay Podger from Cooma will play at the Royal Mail Hotel.

With three albums under his belt, Jay is always looking for that next song ,something new ,something fresh something no one else has found.

Jays’ ability to sing most songs from a great country classic to a old Hillbilly song, pub rock and anything in between makes him stand out.

Jay has performed at a lot of country music festivals including Tamworth, Mildura and in The Man From Snowy River Festival.

Come along and have some fun at the Royal.

In addition local pubs will be open to help you celebrate Australia Day with style.
