WhatsApp is down across the UK with thousands reporting problems. People have gone to social media to complain about the issues.
According to DownDetector, more than 68,000 users reported issues with the app. Of those reporting issues, 63 per cent said they could not send messages and 33 per cent said they were having issues connecting with the server.
The Down Detector site included a map showing where the issues were most reported. London, Manchester and Cardiff were among the locations reporting issues.

Brighton, Glasgow, Nottingham and Birmingham were also reporting issues. And users across Europe and the rest of the world also reported similar issues using one of the planet’s most popular messaging platforms.
WhatsApp is estimated to have more than two billion active users globally. It is unclear what the issue is and what has caused it, but users started noticing things were not right at about 8am. Many took to Twitter to say they were unable to send messages.
One wrote: “When your WhatsApp is playing up but you come to Twitter and see that everyone else is having the same problem #WhatsAppDown.
