The country faces the prospect of a winter of discontent as workers across the UK walk out in escalating disputes over pay, conditions and terms.
The RMT has announced walkouts on December 13 and 14 plus 16 and 17 as well as January 3 and 4 plus 6 and 7. There will also be a ban on overtime for 40,000 workers which threatens to cause mass disruption on the railways over the festive period.
Royal Mail are to stage a raft of strikes over November and December, in the long-running dispute over pay, jobs, and conditions — after the Communication Workers Union rejected a 9 per cent pay deal offered by bosses. Workers will strike around two of the busiest shopping days of the year,
