Manchester Pride will look a little different this year, with the stages moving away from the Gay Village.

The Gay Village Party will still have plenty going on – but if you want to catch a bit of Break Free, you’ll be heading to the newly-added Manchester Pride Live.

Here is everything that you need to know about the newest addition to Manchester Pride.

What is Manchester Pride Live?

For the first time, the entertainment stages will be set up away from the Gay Village, at nearby Mayfield, a former railway station and Royal Mail depot which has sat unloved for some time.

Manchester Pride Live is sure to inject some much needed colour into the area, with an event that Manchester Pride organisers hopes will be a welcome change, and an unmissable event for the city.

Who is on the line up for Manchester Pride Live?

Ariana Grande is headlining the weekend’s activities on Sunday, August 25, but she won’t be alone in lighting up the LGBTQ+ community.

Saturday’s acts include drag queen Jodie Harsh, trans pop star Kim Petras, rapper Lady Leshurr and X Factor’s Louisa.

Saturday’s headline act is Years & Years, fresh from frontman Olly Alexander’s passionate LGBTQ speech at Glastonbury.

Before Grande puts on her grand spectacle, Sunday’s acts include Cheryl (hopefully over her Madame Tussauds snub), Bananarama, Tulisa and a DJ set from Faithless.

Other performers across the weekend include Becky Hill, Pixie Lott and Four of Diamonds.
