Who was Archie Eversole as ATL rapper’s passing saddens fans?

Archie Eversole sadly passed away at the age of 37. Sources close to the ATL rapper confirmed the news to Hot 107.9 radio station.

The cause of his death is yet to be revealed.

After learning about his passing, shocked fans, who are unable to come to terms with his death at such a young age, rushed to Twitter to pay him a tribute.

Who was Archie Eversole?

Born in 1984, Archie was one of Atlanta’s most prominent rappers.

Even though he hadn’t worked on any new music for a while, the musician will always be remembered for creating the gold-selling album Ride Wit Me Dirty in 2002 and his single We Ready.

In 2018, he released United We Conquer, a theme song for the Atlanta United MLS club.

As for his personal life, the rapper hailed from a non-musical family, according to All Music.

His father was in the navy and his mother was in the army. Both of them were stationed in Germany when he was born.

We Ready became an anthem

Archie’s popular single We Ready wasn’t just another catchy track, but it went on to become a high school football chant.

It’s been close to two decades since the song dropped and it remains relevant to date.

There is also a video of a bunch of high school kids chanting We Ready ahead of a game, which went viral across the internet.

The strong lyrics of the song are meant to hype up the players.

Atlanta Hawks pay tribute to late star

Atlanta Hawks paid a tribute to Archie by playing We Ready at the end of their game today, April 13.

Twitter is flooded with tributes to Archie as fans are remembering him for his contribution to the music industry.

One tweeted: “Many blessings to the family and friends of @archieeversole on his untimely passing. Buddy created a forever classic, that’s been played a crossed every locker room, regardless of sport, throughout America!”

“Damn RIP Archie Eversole. He turned a jingle into an anthem that became a hype song in football locker rooms!” shared a second fan.

Another tweeted: “Archie Eversole put out one of the hardest songs of all time. Would have a kid w a candy bar ready to run through a brick wall. Tragic stuff, 37 is too young”
