It’s not often you’ll see Hollywood stars, royals and sporting legends all at the same event – yet today’s Royal Box at Wimbledon has offered just that.

Sitting in the best seats in the house, the Princess of Wales, 41, joined Prince William, also 41, and their two eldest children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight at SW19.

The young siblings looked delighted to be spending their Sunday taking in the action on Centre Court, where Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, 20, is looking to dethrone 36-year-old Novak Djokovic.

Other royals also turned out in force, including Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and King Felipe of Spain.

Throughout this year’s championships, the Royal Box has seen a star-studded set of guests sit down to watch the action on the court – and today was no different, with popular actors Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and James Norton attending the event.

The 44-year-old tennis fan, who was a cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth, is 53rd in line to the throne; his parents are Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.

The royal, known as ‘Freddie’, is married to actor wife Sophie Winkleman, 42, who is best known for playing Suze in Peep Show, and with whom he shares daughters Maud, nine, and Isabella, seven.

Princess Michael of Kent, 78, was cool in a flat cap and a duck egg blue outfit in the Royal Box today.

Prince Michael of Kent, 81, is the first cousin of the late Queen and the son of George VI brother, Prince George, Duke of Kent.

The royal, who announced his retirement last year, is a keen tennis fan and often attends Wimbledon. He is married to Princess Michael of Kent and the two are both active royals, living at Kensington Palace.

Last year the pair revealed they are to retire from royal life, months after Michael stepped down as patron of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, and handed back an Order of Friendship award, one of Russia’s highest honours.

The Queen’s first cousin, who is a fluent Russian speaker with a lineage to Tsar Nicholas II, was forced to sever his ties to Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.

Born in 1942, his first memorable appearance was as a five-year-old as a page boy at the Queen’s wedding to Prince Philip.

While just outside the top 50 for succession to the throne, he was often seen at the side of the late Queen at family events. He has two siblings who he is often seen with, Princess Alexandra and the Duke of Kent.

5. Princess of Wales

Princess Kate, 41, is patron of the All England Lawn and Tennis Club – a position she has held since 2016.

On Saturday, she attended the ladies’ final and watched unseeded Marketa Vondrousova defeat bookies’ favourite Ons Jabeur in straight sets.

Dressed in a two-piece lime green frock costing £420 from Self Portrait, the mother-of-three watched the action next to tennis legend, Billie Jean King.

She later presented the Czech champion with the Venus Rosewater dish on Centre Court and comforted the Tunisian runner-up with a warm hug.

Ahead of the gentlemen’s final between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, the family met with hard working ball boys and girls – and Princess Charlotte was even lucky enough to make a fuss of police dog Stella.

Future king George – who celebrates his 10th birthday on Saturday – and his sister have broken up from his Lambrook School in Berkshire for the summer holidays – and it’s already been a busy season for the royals.
