Will postal strikes hasten the end of your daily delivery? | News

Chrissie Brinton received a birthday card last Thursday. That might sound nice, but her birthday was a fortnight earlier. She and four other family members with December birth dates had to celebrate without the usual jolly notes from friends and relatives. They were collateral damage in a brutal industrial dispute between Royal Mail and about 100,000 of its workers, who brought chaos and delays to the postal service by staging six days of strikes in the run-up to Christmas.
