William and Kate Send Mail to Fans Toasting Charlotte

Leave it to royal fan mail blog Gert’s Royal Replies to share pics of every detail included in the note. The card featured an official birthday portrait of Charlotte (the one snapped by Middleton and shared with the world on Charlotte’s big day), but also a thoughtful message from the future king and queen of England.

It read: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appreciated your kind thought in writing to Princess Charlotte as you did on the occasion of her fourth birthday. This was greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their best wishes.”

But in the case of Gert—and proof that going that extra mile to personalize your greeting matters—she received an additional letter from Claudia Spens, head of correspondence at Clarence House, after also congratulating Middleton on her recent appointment to Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Pretty special, if you ask us. If you need us, we’ll be drafting notes to the palace. (After all, Prince George’s sixth birthday is coming up.)
