A serving Wiltshire Police officer has been charged with making child abuse images.

20-year-old Callum Denley, of Malmesbury, was a police cadet before joining as a constable.

Now, he’s been charged with making indecent images of children in all categories of severity.

He’s also accused of possessing extreme pornographic image and possession of a prohibited image of a child.

The PC was suspended from duty immediately after the matters came to light.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that today (Tuesday) was Denley last day as a constable, after he previously submitted his notice of resignation.

He is due to appear at court on 3 April. The force has not yet disclosed at which court the hearing will take place.

“As this is an active investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage”, a police spokesperson said.
