A trial date has been set for a man accused of raping and kidnaping a woman.
Gary John Bridger, 65, appeared before Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, November 4 for an initial hearing.
Bridger, of Dancing Lane, Wincanton, is charged with two counts of rape of a woman over the age of 16, one charge of kidnap, one charge of assault by pentration and a further charge of sexual assault.
The charges all relate to incidents on July 7 of this year in Sherborne.
Bridger pleaded not guilty to all counts.
The case has been adjourned for a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
The trial is expected to last at least four days.
