Lara admitted while Prince Harry, 34, and wife Meghan Markle, 38, are ‘great together’, she would not have thought to introduce them.

She said: ‘I would not have necessarily picked her as perfect for Harry so it just goes to show that chemistry is unpredictable.

‘Had I met her I’d have seen it because they’re great together’.

Lara, formerly known as the Sloane Arranger, has built a reputation finding dates for high profile clients including ‘actors, models and billionaires’.

She said she has been responsible for ‘hundreds of marriages’ and ‘babies too’.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met on a ‘bind date’ set up by a mutual friend in 2016.

Their matchmaker is widely thought to be Violet von Westenholz, 36, daughter of Prince Charles’s pal, former Olympic skier Baron Piers von Westenholz.

The socialite has mutual friends with the Duchess of Sussex and was snapped spending time with the royal at a publicity day at Wimbledon in 2017.

However there have also been several other suggestions as to the identity of the mysterious royal matchmaker.

Other sources say that Meghan’s Bahrain-born best friend Misha Nonoo, the estranged wife of Harry’s friend, Alexander Gilkes, a pal of William and Harry’s from Eton, organised their blind date last year.

Initially many sources believed Miss Markle’s Canadian friend Markus Anderson acted as cupid.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their engagement in November 2017 and married at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in May 2018. They welcomed their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in May this year.
