Citizens’ Advice has revealed which delivery firm is viewed as the worst in Britain
The worst delivery company has been revealed ahead of the busy Christmas season.
Each year millions of parcels and post are sent out during the festive season, with families exchanging cards and pressies in celebration of Christmas Day.
However, for those who have experienced the frustration of losing a parcel, a new survey has unveiled that more than 15 million people have experienced a problem with their latest parcel delivery, according to a new Citizens Advice survey.
Not only have millions of people been left grumbling about where their parcel is, but one firm has been ranked at the bottom of the league table for deliveries.
Yodel, which delivers all over Britain, has been assigned last place when it comes to deliveries, with the group failing to improve on 2024’s ranking of two stars out of five.

While Yodel took bottom spot, at the other end of the spectrum, Royal Mail came in first place, with the organisation awarded 3.25 stars, Citizens Advice found.
As well as delivery services being ranked, consumers voiced the most common issues they face when it comes to deliveries, with 29 per cent stating a problem they experienced was the courier leaving before they had time to get to the door, ITV News reported.
A total of 24 per cent of people surveyed also said they had found their parcels left in an insecure location, with the same amount of Brits also stating they had experienced parcels arriving late.
Citizens Advice said the findings, based off 8,000 people being surveyed, highlighted there had been “marginal” changes in scores over the last five years.
The organisation said the overall picture of the research carried out over one month, painted an image of customers being “persistently failed” by parcel firms.
Other findings also highlighted scores achieved by firms for accessibility also worsened this year, despite a new regulation by Ofcom which demands companies give disabled consumers the opportunity to report their needs.

The Citizen’s Advice survey suggested there are still three million people who have accessibility needs that would like to share that are still unable to tell certain firms.
Dame Clare Moriarty, the charity’s chief executive said: “Ofcom has passed the parcel of responsibility for long enough. We’ve been doing the work of the regulator for five years now by holding parcel companies to account and speaking up for consumers who are bearing the brunt of persistently poor service.”
An Ofcom spokesman told ITV it would continue to work with Citizens Advice to help consumers get a reliable delivery service.
They continued: “We have a strong track record of holding parcel firms to account on behalf of the public. That has involved tracking people’s experiences of parcel deliveries for over a decade, and, as a result, introducing strengthened regulations on parcel firms in 2023.”
