Young man shares disaster date which ‘couldn’t have been any worse’

Max*, now 28, had a disaster date at age 21, which started off with cocktails and ended with an ambulance ride.

The singleton spoke to Express.co.uk about his “worst” date ever with a woman from Bumble.

Max and *Alice had been on a great first date, so he was excited about his second date with her at a pub.

When he arrived at the pub he found his date already sitting, having already had a few drinks beforehand.

The pair got on the cocktails, enjoying around five each, and then moved on to drinking pints.

After two pints, Max decided to go up to the bar to grab some more drinks – but disaster struck on his return.

He found that when he arrived back at his table, Alice was slumped over “completely still” and her hair “covered in vomit”.

Max told Express.co.uk: “I didn’t know what to do, I just sat there and hoped she’d come back to life.”

Unsurprisingly the bouncer told the pair they had to get out, and together with the bouncer, Max was able to haul Alice out of her seat.

He continued: “We got out onto the road and she hit the deck completely, just horizontal on the floor and collapsed.”

Freaking out, he tried to wake her up but she was “out of it completely”, so he called 999 frantically in the hope of some help.

Having only met the girl once before, he didn’t have any of her essential information to give to the paramedics – not even her last name – but the professionals managed to track down a relative who lived nearby.

When the paramedics were on the scene Max asked a now-awake Alice if she needed him to stay, to which she waved a vomit-soaked hand and whispered “Just…go”.

Max told Express.co.uk that “as far as dates go, I don’t think there’s any worse”, and when asked if it was one of the “worst days of his life”, he agreed.

In the morning, Alice messaged Max to tell him how embarrassed and sorry she was, but it never ended in romance – in fact, the pair never met again.

To make matters worse, while nursing an “awful” hangover the next day, Max had to sit through a very painful dinner with his family.

He tried his best to enjoy his meal but could barely keep it down – in fact, he felt so sick that he hasn’t been able to eat that exact meal since.

Thankfully, Max told Express.co.uk that he has been on some better dates since this nightmare one – so thankfully Alice did not ruin dating for him.

*Names have been changed.
