Amazon apprenticeship

By joining Amazon apprenticeships, you can be part of the Women’s Network in Operations program, which gives you additional support for eight weeks in your apprenticeship.

Within the program you will join other interns from various backgrounds to hone your leadership skills. You will be mentored by senior leaders and be given opportunities to demonstrate what you have learnt.

This position will not be based in a central city location, therefore the candidate must be open to relocation. Competitive salary (Start dates available throughout 2020).

Security Officer

CCTV monitoring is just one element of the job

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Rolling roster of 4 on, 4 off, working 2 days (6am – 6pm), 2 days (6pm-6am) 4 off. Salary £8.25 per hour  (Officers must be flexible)

Cordant Security are currently looking for a Distribution Security Officer to be based in the Grimsby area.

Interested candidates must have a valid frontline SIA licences/SIA training certificates.

Responsibilities of the Distribution Security Officer: Ensure the safety & security of people, premises & property, access and egress control,
random staff searches, patrols of the inside & outside of premises, CCTV monitoring, gatehouse & reception duties, Body & baggage searches, Alarm Systems

Requirements: Fully comprehensive 5 year work/education history, clear communication, excellent customer service and administration skills, a full UK driving licence & access to transport is desirable.

Farm workers

The role requires manual grading and inspection of beetroots and potatoes for any defects

Contract type: Temporary

Hours: Monday – Friday 7am – finish (usually between 4pm – 6pm). £8.21 per hour and overtime is paid at time and half after 39 hours worked. Overtime available on weekends.

Closes: Thursday, April 2, 2020.

Farm workers are required in various location around 15-20 miles from Scunthorpe area. Applicants should be aware they will be required to work in a warehouse environment or outside. Transport is necessary due the location.

Role: Manual grading and inspection of beetroots and potatoes for any defects. Able use grading and washing machinery. Good housekeeping controls an area to make sure there are no hazards for employees.

Team work and can do approach as part of day to day routine is essential. Be able to work long hours with varying start times of the day or night based on processing demands.

Dress appropriately for processing plant conditions including wearing layers of clothing in order to adjust to changing climate conditions throughout the work day. Stand for long periods of time in cold and humid conditions sorting reject items from good potatoes.

Quickly working with both arms and hands, reaching and grabbing out foreign materials from the product. Throwing reject materials into the proper waste receptacle.

Postal delivery driver

Can you help the Post Office cope with the busy Easter period?

Contract type:  Candidates who successfully start this will receive a weekly minimum 20-hour guarantee for 2 weeks.

Hours: The role is working any 5 days from 6 (shift between 11am up until 9pm), with an opportunity to work overtime. Part time also available. (£9.50 per hour)

Postal Delivery Drivers are required for the West Marsh area of Grimsby, to support the Easter peak period.

Delivering mail and parcels to houses and businesses within a set area, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your local community.

You’ll start your day for an hour or so in the local delivery office, sorting the mail for your route, before taking out your van to complete your round.

You’ll each be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries and the round will take around four hours to complete.

Upbeat and self-motivated, you’ll be as happy working alone as you will be working as part of a team and getting to know the different people on your round. Ideal for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather, you’ll also be someone who likes the idea of doing a job that will help you keep fit.

Some experience in a customer facing role would be ideal and for roles with driving, a full driving licence with no more than six penalty points is essential.

Argos Delivery driver

Contract type:

Hours: Shift patterns between 5.30am and 10.30pm. Contracts for 16 hours per week on a rota basis 5 days from 7, with overtime opportunities available.

A position is available for a delivery driver at Argos Ltd.

You’ll be making sure they live up to their Fast Track promises. Part of the Sainsbury’s Group, they can offer you a brilliant benefits package. You’ll get a Mercedes Sprinter van and advanced routing technology.

Plus starting holiday allowance of 22 days (increasing each year), a company pension and staff discounts in Argos, Habitat and Sainsbury’s (after 3 months).
You’ll bring a smile, think on your feet, and go above and beyond to help – because this job’s not just about dropping off customer orders.

There’s also plenty of driving involved, so you should have a year’s driving experience, be confident behind the wheel and have no more than six points on your licence.

Business Canteen chef

Could you be a canteen chef?

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: £21,000 (Excellent working hours Mon to Fri and an early finish on a Friday).

Closes: Monday, March 23

A chef is required for a business canteen in Scunthorpe – with experience of managing and running a canteen, offering a range of food from hot meals, desserts.

The ideal candidate will be a trained Chef and have food Health & Safety certificates and be capable of running a professional canteen offering themed days ie Italian day, Curry day, with desserts etc. There will be a kitchen Assistant to manage.
