New ballot Air Traffic Control staff amid ongoing pay dispute | GBC – Gibraltar News

The Public and Commercial Services Union has rescheduled a ballot of its members in Air Traffic Control after the initial ballot papers did not reach Gibraltar in time.

As reported by the Chronicle today, the original ballot was declared null and void because of long-standing issues with the Royal Mail’s international deliveries.

Months’ worth of backlog is now arriving in Gibraltar, after strikes and cyber attacks had impacted outgoing international mail.

However, the papers did not arrive in time for the ballot to proceed in the originally planned timeframe.

This follows a dispute over a pay dispute in the context of the rising cost of living. The new ballot will now run from March 20th to May 12th.
