3:40 p.m. — Food stamp backlog cut to 59 (Pacific Daily News)

3:40 p.m. — The backlog for food stamps at the Department of Public Health and Social Services has gone from 1,000 to 59, said Acting Director J. Peter Roberto at a press conference this afternoon.
