Mercedes at Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne slammed for parking between two disabled spots

An ‘entitled’ driver has been slammed for parking their Mercedes between two disabled spots in a children’s hospital car park.

Photos of the car parked at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne on Wednesday were shared to the Australian Disability Parking Wall of Shame Facebook group. 

The Mercedes 500 SEL sedan was parked between a car and a vacant disabled spot. 

‘I called security but don’t know if they could do something about it, no disability ticket,’ the caption read.

The woman said the car wasn’t displaying any disability passes.

Photos of the car were met with heavy criticism from Facebook users.

‘What the actual f**k?! Holy crap some people are just ridiculous,’ one person wrote.

‘I wish people would realise that you can’t park there. Some people are just thick,’ another said.  

‘Every German taxi comes with a sense of entitlement,’ one commenter said. 

Commenters called for the driver to have their registration details reported to the local council, but the original poster said the council can’t penalise the driver as it was a private car park.

‘Because it is a private carpark, they won’t do anything. I reported to the council once a car from a shopping centre, they told me I have to report it to the shopping centre because it is private,’ she wrote.

Others suggested that security are licensed to hand out parking fines.

Motorists caught parking in disabled spots without a valid disabled permit face being slapped with hefty fines and one demerit point.
