At FedEx, no elves but plenty of workers and tech to move gifts

With the holiday rush in full gear, FedEx has high-tech systems and 20,000 seasonal employees to help deal with about 260 million packages expected from Thanksgiving to Christmas. With Christmas less than two weeks away, it’s crunch time at the nation’s shipping companies.
