Bath gets chance to save post office

Following the July decision of the U.S. Postal Service to close a number of area branches, a public meeting has been set for Sept. 7 in Bath for that community to make a last attempt to save its post office.   By law, the Postal Service is required to host these meetings before deciding whether to shut down a local post office.   Dennis Sank has been the postmaster in Bath since 1993.
