Brilliant video shows cheeky fox stealing bread and TV guide as man turns away from his shopping

A cheeky fox has been caught on camera stealing a loaf of bread and a TV guide whilst a man reached for some biscuits to feed them. Peter Barrett, 50, has been feeding the same three foxes for months and they routinely know to wait outside his home for a snack.

Each morning at around 6.30am he will head out to walk his dog and share some treats with the adorable foxes. According to MyLondon, it began with the Hornchurch resident feeding one before two more joined the pack.

He says they are all very healthy, although one of the younger ones has a limp, and they enjoy the treat from Peter. “I love all wildlife,” he said. “I’m quite happy to feed them every morning.”

One hilarious moment has emerged with CCTV catching the foxes in a cheeky act. As he got back from shopping, he saw one fox and gave it a biscuit. It then ran off, but as Peter was taking the shopping out of his car suddenly there were two foxes beside him.

Peter, who is retired but used to work for the Department of Work and Pensions, put his bags down and turned to seek out some biscuits for his car but the foxes had already snatched a loaf of bread and a TV guide.

The footage shows the foxes taking advantage of the resident’s turned back to take the items. Peter says he then took his shopping inside and walked along the road to see where the foxes had gone. He discovered both the bread and the TV guide on the pavement. Clearly the foxes realised the plastic bag the bread was in and the paper TV guide weren’t as tasty as treats.
