Experience says that the only people who enjoy home movies are fathers that interrupt playtime to “capture the moment” and grandmothers who collect postage stamps and tell embarrassing stories at holiday dinners. Box office returns for the movie Cloverfield, which was produced by J.J. Abrams of Alias and Lost fame, however, have told a different tale.
