Due to a’shambolic’ passport delivery catastrophe, Christmas vacations may be canceled.

HOLIDAYS this winter may be jeopardized due to expected passport delivery delays.

Britons may be fantasizing about winter sun and vacationing abroad for the holidays. However, due to passport delivery delays, winter vacations may be jeopardized.

The Passport Office’s courier service has acknowledged that there may be delivery delays this winter, preventing Britons from traveling.

Following Covid, the Office was overwhelmed with applications, and reports of delays in acquiring travel permits aren’t instilling much confidence in Britons.

The Passport Office has informed applicants that the processing time for new passports could take up to ten weeks.

And that’s only to get the passports approved.

The delivery time is not included in the ten-week delay.

This might cause delays in both the processing of applications and the delivery of documents after they are accepted, leaving Britons waiting for their passports.

Especially when one of the major concerns with passport deliveries is the delivery company.

Even a petition opposing the existing service exists.

The deliveries are handled by FedEx-owned TNT, which was awarded a three-year contract worth £77 million in 2019.

The company will be responsible for delivering new and renewed passports under the lucrative contract.

However, it appears to have failed, since the Passport Office is said to have resorted to other methods such as Royal Mail.

Britons who are waiting for their passports are also getting irritated.

The situation is so severe that some frantic Britons are driving from depot to depot in an attempt to locate their passports before flying abroad.

Meanwhile, TNT’s customer service hotline is said to be frequently unresponsive.

Steve Baron reintroduced the problem he’s having on Twitter: “Just Eat: 20 minutes.” Amazon: TNT Passport Delivery the Next Day: “Who knows… Maybe never?” “TNT has failed to send my passport three times,” Debra Michael complained. You stand in line for an hour to speak with people who make promises they can’t keep. My passport has been with them for a month, and I still have no idea where it is.” Tony, on the other hand, was going to miss his vacation: “TNT claimed they’d deliver on November 11th, but every day they fail and push the date back a day.” So, what are you going to do about this abysmal service? If this continues for another week, I may have to cancel my vacation.” Becky Collins also had a mix-up: “You mailed my son’s passport to the. “Brinkwire Summary News.”
