eBay Up, Marketplaces Down 1% in Third Quarter Year-over-Year (AuctionBytes)

eBay reported financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009. The company posted third-quarter revenue of $2.2 billion, up $120.3 million from the same period last year, and said year-over-year revenue growth was driven primarily by the continued growth in PayPal, Skype, classifieds and in eBay’s fixed-price format.
